英国历史最悠久的女校之一。

About the school
Tudor Hall School was founded in Salisbury in 1850, as an Anglican boarding school for girls. lt moved
first to Kent and then to its present rural site at Wykham Park, near Banbury in Oxfordshire in 1946. The school is based on a Christian ethos and accepts pupils with different faiths or none. The school isa registered charity, overseen by a board of governors.

Boarders make up over three quarters of the pupils and they are housed in six main areas of
accommodation organised according to age. Since the previous inspection the school has built a new drama studio and refurbished science laboratories and two of the boarding houses.

What the school seeks to do
The school seeks to develop intellectual, physical and creative potential in its pupils as well as their
spiritual and emotional development. lt aims to encourage its pupils to use their talents to the benefit of the community around them whether family, school or the wider world and to equip its pupils for life after school with a foundation of sound values based on Christian teaching in its broadest sense.

About the pupils
The majority of pupils are from professional families across the United Kingdom. Boarders are mostly
from families in the United Kingdom; a small number of pupils come from overseas. Nationaly standardised data indicate that the ability profile of the senior school is above average. A wide spread of abilities is represented. The ability profile of the sixth form is below average. The number of pupils identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities is 123, of whom 49 receive support in class, in small groups or individually. One pupil has an education, health and care (EHC) plan. There are 43 pupils who have English as an additional language (EAL), of whom 15 receive support. There is a scholars' programme for more able pupils and for those who have talents in areas such as sport, drama, art, music and dance.

校长理念

Tudor Hall is unique in so many ways. It is a thriving, vibrant, full boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18, based in Wykham Park near Banbury, which definitely ‘punches above its weight’.

The academic results are excellent, produced by young women who have been selected for places at the school not just on their academic ability but also their personal strengths. The girls are not of one type and this creates a community where everybody recognises and celebrates its members as individuals.

Staff work with pupils to ensure that each one is encouraged and supported to do her best. The girls are ambitious and determined to make the most of the many opportunities in school and further afield. The recent introduction of our Aim Higher programme across the school year groups affords the girls a range of academic opportunities beyond the classroom, allowing them to pursue their intellectual curiosity whilst developing psychological and physical resilience.

As Headmistress I never cease to be amazed by the achievements of our pupils in all areas of school life but what still impresses me on a daily basis is how they genuinely care for members of the Tudor community as well as those in the outside world. They live out the school motto ‘Habeo ut dem’, I have that I may give.
